Need For Speed Hot Pursuit gamepad configuration.

Basically I've launched the game and I've had to open up settings to configure my device (Esperanza EG102). After the configuration I noticed that although all buttons were assigned I couldn't move in menu and I couldn't select any option. Is this problem associated with my third party controller or is it games fault?
