Need for Speed Rivals - Black screen only with full screen

On startup Need for Speed Rivals is giving me a black screen only whilst full screened. Alt tabbing has it in a windowed screen where things begin to work properly, but any attempt to return to full ...

    Hi everyone,

    NFS Rivals has been updated today and black screen issue is fixed for me. 😕mileyhappy:

Here's my versions of this issue, the game opens, it puts a window up with minimize, max, and Close options visible, it goes to the black screen, origin's shift+ f1 notification comes up aannnddd nothing. Back screen stays, not sound, no animations, no cinematic. I cannot do anything what so ever.

System info:

OS: Windows 8.1 pro

CPU: i7-2700k

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670

Memory: 16gb

all drivers and windows are up to date

Things i have tried: (no particular order)

  1. EA's work around (alt+enter)
  2. compatibility modes
  3. x86 and 64
  4. changing screen resolutions and settings
  5. unplugging  monitors (i have two monitors running), using different ones or just one
  6. re-installing origin
  7. Turning off Firewall (and security all together when that didnt work)
  8. repair install
  9. running as admin
  10. rage quitting and using Steam and even Uplay to enjoy playing a game

I missed a few things i did, but that's a bit much to have to do when my 50+ other games on pc work with no issues.

I would like to be able to play this game, I enjoy the NFS franchise very much, plus I paid for it and its now just sitting in my game library.

    tenags i've the same graphic card...is the prob???i do everything just like you and have the same issues

      I highly doubt that this game would be, literally, the only game that doesnt work. I dont know how they could accomplish that.. im sure it has to do with something else, faulty code line somewhere, or somehting overlooked/rushed.
