Need for Speed Rivals - Black screen only with full screen
On startup Need for Speed Rivals is giving me a black screen only whilst full screened. Alt tabbing has it in a windowed screen where things begin to work properly, but any attempt to return to full screen gives the black screen back, but this time with some stuttering sound. Any suggestions? Already tried: Disabling additional monitor Running with administrator privilages Changing display resolution inside game (got there through windowed mode) Disabling Crossfire cards
Yes, i little info on how they are progressing with the patch would be good.... I know i'm gonna be annoyed if i finish everything in it before a patch is released, Thought this problem would have seemed high priority
"tenags i've the same graphic card...is the prob???i do everything just like you and have the same issues"
I highly doubt that this game would be, literally, the only game that doesnt work. I dont know how they could accomplish that.. im sure it has to do with something else, faulty code line somewhere, or somehting overlooked/rushed.
The funny thing, if I run the game in 3D using Tridef program, it runs full screen, I can't just stop laughing and crying at the same time, I mean come on, u need 3rd party program to start playing games in full screen now ? what's next, pay extra for driving every 1Kmh ?
well were over a week since release, and still not even any news! how hard can it be to keep people informed! the game is unplayable for me when windowed! thinking of a charge back!
I'm having the same problem, I don't have any issues with other games, and I have a bunch of them. I'm using a Radeon 7970 hooked up to a 1080p projector. Just browing through here it seems like lots of people hooked up to TV's or Projectors are having problems. Can we get a refund if this can't be fixed now? It's kind of crazy. I'll attach my dxdiag.

I just realized I could get a refund in the 24hour window. It's a shame, it seems like EA games pretty much require a return period because they are so broken. What is going on over there.
