NFS Carbon - Logging in

Hi, I have original copy of Need for Speed: Carbon with unused CD-key. Online servers for this game are still up, so I tried to login, but it doesn't recognize my Origin/EA Nation nickname. When I tried to use "I forgot my nickname" option it doesn't recognize my email. Do I need to create separte account for this game? And even if I did that, when Origin'll be able to activate copy of NFSC (just in case - I know that this probably won't wappen) I'll be allowed to activate this CD-key on my account?

  • I managed to finally use my CD-key and play online!

    Instead of loggin in to my Origin acc, I registered new acc with the same personal data and it accepted my cd-key.

    @Luqgreg

    It sounds like you may not have used your account in some time. Please make contact with an EA Game Advisor for assistance with your email address and hopefully we can get you up and running with NFS: Carbon too.

  • @EA_Barry

    I'm used my Origin account very often in past month.

    There isn't NFSC in product list. Which product should I select to not cause any problem?

    EDIT: I contacted them already and my issue wasn't fully resolved sadly, but I've got told that it will be investigated. Thanks for help!

  • UPDATE: I somehow managed to login, but my original CD-key is getting rejected. I contacted EA Help, and they said that they can't do anything about it, because they have no longer keys available for this game. ☹️

  • What hasn't been explained here is EA has two sets of accounts, one for games released prior to 2008, like NFS Carbon, Crysis, NFS Prostreet or any NFS older than ProStreet, and one for games released in 2008 or later, such as NFS Undercover or any NFS after Undercover.

    NFS Carbon uses the old account system, so it's a separate account from the newer EA / Origin account system. I think NFS Carbon is the only NFS game with the old account system where the servers are still running. All the other older NFS servers have been shut down.

    NFS Carbon and it's old account system allow you to choose your player ID. Most of the newer autolog based games force you to use your new account EA ID. NFS World was the exception where players could have up to three drivers per account.
