Happened to me a few times when I tried to open them for free every 48 hours - not that I'm complaining since I won't ever spend any real money for golds. But such experience will make you understand that these premium crates are highly unpredictable and are therefore bad investments.
premium crates used to be ok before they introduced scrap points as any cars with maxed bps were removed from the premium crate prizes, personally thats when i stopped buying premium crates
