Problems and review of nfs payback

Why does EA insist on making a barely playable game. Here are my problems with nfs payback, 1. The police suck, they’re completely op and a little side note, why no free roaming police as it’s the only actual thing that draws people to play a need for speed after finishing the horribly slapped together story with a decent plot and the execution in Donald trumps presidency, and one little tap can push you around with the way these cars handle which brings me to number 2. I’ve been playing need for speed since it still said road and track presents (still have it by the way) and i understand completely that this game always had arcade style driving mechanics but if you’re going to have aggressive police and drivers, is it too much to ask for it to take a little more than a tap to get any car spinning out of control, 3. The customization is extremely limited as relative to nfs standards, there is a boundless selection of rims and........ that’s about it, the upgrades are cookie cutter, a front bumper here and a rear bumper there with something interesting every now and again but for the most part it’s need for speed undercover all over again with relatively bland customization with the only personality being in the mostly pre selected wrap and decals 4. The upgrade system, what ever happened to going to the garage or the upgrade shop and if you’ve won enough races to afford an upgrade, buy the f***ing upgrade rather than having to go practically level by level, and rolling for speedcards is practically broken but there are countless threads talking about that, however i personally like the idea of speedcards, but this has the amount of effort put into it as a free to play mobile racing game 5. The cars, every need for speed bragged on having more and more and more cars to use, most of them you’d never actually use anyway but at least they were there in case you wanted a build because you were bored and just to see how ridiculous you could go with it (I’m looking at you Lincoln Navigator in underground 2). But the car selection in nfs payback is small, and to make matters worse, you can’t fully upgrade every car, which probably means you can’t fully upgrade the car your want to beat the game with unless you want to use nothing but supercars for the last third of the game, gone are the days where i can take the piece of * cobalt as from most wanted 2005 and somehow junkman it and walk anything in your way for the satisfaction of because i can. 6. Micro transactions, if you could read all the reviews and still get yourself to buy this game (70 dollars or the deluxe for 90) why it it that you have to make this such a painful process, shipments were cool personally but there are no free premium shipments. Ever. Even after beating the game on hard, you have to use speedpoints to buy shipments which cost real money to in turn get in game stuff. Very interesting concept, it’s like going to the movies just to find out that even after buying the ticket you have to pay another fee if you want to see certain parts 7. The deluxe edition, if you wasted your time and money on the deluxe edition i am truly sorry for you, for 20 extra dollars you get ONE extra mission which includes 4 races in each region (16) and a couple of cars that you would normally unlock in this walk in the park of a game and also 2 new cars in the DLC. A Mini Cooper and an infinity Q60, now i like the Mini Cooper just as much as the next guy but in a dlc or an add on costing as much as 20 smackaroos should have something at least decent rather than something that should’ve been put in the game to begin with. Overall the game isn’t terrible, if you can get past the plot and the limited car selection and the micro transactions and the strangely equipped police and the bugs not being removed for the sake of ea taking out the one glitch a lot of people actually liked the game for, it’s got one good thing... the koenigsegg regera is a blast to drive and race in, that’s it and it’s 882,xxx credits on its own not including the one upgrade it needs (17-18) so i will give a nice thumbs up to the koenigsegg regera which is probably the only reason i bought this work in progress, and I’d say after beating the game it was worth it for that one car, i hope ea reads this and does a complete overhaul on this game to make it playable before their entire fan base makes like ken block and leaves

@rocker3456 appreciate the time you took to write this, but please, please, put some space between the new ideas. It will make it easier to read.

    1. Police...nah...i've seen better in any of the Hot Pursuit titles (NFS3 had one of the most stubborn police that you could see in a videogame, NFS 6 came with the chopper that would drop flaming barrels to stop you and NFS 2010 actually had a smart police) and in NFS MW 2005.

    2. Yes, physics could use some improvement

3/4. Upgrades - best system for me was the one in NFSU2 (performance). Don't care much about visuals.

    5. Car selection - errr, sorry, but it's better than what NFSMW 2012 had at launch, or Rivals and definitely more than 2015 had.

    6. Microtransactions - not a fan of those in any game

    7. The Deluxe Edition also offers a car discount and a rep boost

I am not a big fan of the supersports in a game about illegal racing. In real life you won't see that type of car tuned. There are some exceptions, like the old Porsche 911, but the tuning is usually limited.

What i would like to see is more european and japanese imports and classic american muscle. You know...those cars that are actually tuned and used by the crowd that is doing illegal racing. Couldn't care less about Koenigsegg, the recent Lamborghini (give me a classic Miura) or Masserati, don't care much about the Bugatti. The modern cars pretty much look the same (even the supersports) and have zero personality. Give me classics and i am a happy cat. Give me a Silva, a Polo, a Mini, a Gordini, you know stuff that actually can be bought and tuned by the normal persons.
