PS3 Freezing During Loading

So the game ran fine all morning for me without any problems. Shut it off and came back a few hours later and now as soon as I select a spawn point for either cop or racer, online, or offline it star...

    Need for Speed Rivals PS3 Freezing

    Some Need for Speed Rivals players on the PlayStation 3 are experiencing freezing issue when trying to load their game, preventing them from progressing.

    If your game freezes when trying to load, safely disconnecting your network cable will allow you to progress through without your game freezing.

    We're hard at work to provide a more permanent solution to this issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.

Are you other people still having this issue?  

I got the game yesterday & after I did the Cop&Racer Training- I picked Cop.  It froze during Loading afterwards.  I pressed PS Button on Controller, and went to "Quit Game".  It worked, so I got off for a couple hours because I had other stuff I had to get done. I got on later, played for about 2 hours, and had no issues.  

I get back on this afternoon around 4-5, and pick my Car & go to the Map.  I picked my Spawn Location, and it Loaded for about 10 seconds then whole PS3 Froze. I had to press the Power Button on Console to get it to do anything (Shut it off).

I got back on, tried again.  It froze at Spawn Location Loading again. I did this 4 times in a row, with the exact same results. So I got off for about 2 hours, and tried getting on. It did the same thing and froze at the exact same spot.  I spoke to someone Live on their website- and they gave me Step-By-Step Instructions (Which also included looking for and Deleting Corrupted Files.  I follwed the instructions, and the game froze at the Car Select Screen.

I started the game again, and it froze at the Loading Screen after picking my Spawn Location.  I shut the PS3 off manually still for the.. 7'th? time today and tried the 4 Steps as listed above.
 
-Shutting off my Firewall
-Connecting my Router directly to my PS3 with Ethernet Cable.  (Not possible to do so with Modem)
-Disable Media Server Connection
-Looked for any Corrupted Files
I tried the game again, and it froze at the Car Select Screen again.

Soo. Yeah.  Please tell me that I'm not the only person still having these problems at 10:30p.m.

    I found a way to get around it for the time being until they find a fix. When you start the game and you're in the garage, go to your Alldrive settings and put Matchmaking on Single Player, then select Find New Session. After that, exit your garage for you to get outside. Then press pause, go to your Alldrive settings again and turn the Matchmaking back to Public, then select Find New Session again. You should finally be able to get out there and play with people after doing that. It's the only way I managed to play without my system freezing.

    It's starting to look more and more like a server issue from what I can tell. There was one time I was able to exit garage after starting the game without the freeze, but that only happened once. Could it possible be that because a lot of people are on the servers now that it could be causing that issue? Apparently everybody didn't expereince this problem when they first played it but only after getting off the game and playing it a 2nd time several hours later when more people were probably playing it.

      Tried your recommendation, thanks for the help. Unfortunately, it still locked up, only in a different place. Very disappointing. Have you had additional feedback/updates?

      Hey, I tried your recommendation/fix again. Persistence pays! It worked (although I did something slightly different). All is good for the moment.

      This would seem to point to an issue with the game vs a modem/firewall issue.
