QR Code scanning in the game

Why are there QR Codes in the game? Just put a button there instead!! I don't need to pull out a smartphone or special application just so I can scan the code when I could have just as easily pressed enter on the menu item???????????? Quit putting stupid non-features into programs just because you think it's cool that you now have a smartphone. It's a driving game for the pc.....we are already connected to the internet.....buttons please....not codes.
