Should EA and Criterion release a proper Burnout Paradise PC sequel?

Why I think they should release a proper Burnout Paradise PC sequel, because this older game beats NFS Most Wanted 2012 on every level:

  • Great support for Force Feedback steering wheels, you just feel the oversteer / understeer. So you can actually RACE!
  • Great frame rate, no problems of a bad port to PC (although EA fixed this after about 3 months after the game release)
  • Way nicer looking high-speed camera slow-motion crashes in full-screen.
  • Good immersion factor for single player, due to the efforts of racing are rewarded with cars. Instead of just giving them away.
  • Every car has a unique different kind of handling. Something that is not noticable in NFS Most Wanted 2012.

So that there will be a game to restore the EA/Criterion reputation they've crushed with this latest Need For Speed, if you make a racing game. Make sure you can actually race in the game with a steering wheel. It says on the back of the box that a steering wheel is supported, well it's NOT. At least not for actually racing, can't even release the weel to go straight.

I love Burnout Paradise. Besides Shift 2 I have not had a similar car racing experience. That and Shift 2 and Paradise are vastly different.. For the simple down to earth fun game that Paradise was and still is, it is simply unbeatable.

Someone needs to make this game in open source and cut out EA.
