The game is unplayable to the sense that you cannot rebind anything on the ps5 controller when on this game. Connecting though steam and setting up a config doesnt resolve the issue further. Loading into the game X on the ps5 or A on xbox for the main action button is R2 on the ps5 controller.
camera is always facing down and looking backwards when booting into the game.
Unplayable state on launch when heat worked like butter.

- You click add a non-steam game to Steam, click "browse", go to the directory where EA Desktop is installed (if its the same as mine it'll be something like C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop) and add EADesktop.exe. Then you should be able to launch the EA Desktop app from Steam, and then the game from there.
EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY, ALL THE BUTTONS ARE PLACED, I have tried this with a PS4 controller but this solution does not work.
I hope it works for you and you can play this game in its early version.

Same for me, I've tried everything. It's also the same case with my Xbox One controller.
got the game on origin and my dualsense triggers were set to a and b since I first launched the game, the gas and brake didn't work either, the only trigger that worked is the left on and it made the camera face forward and when I let go the camera looked backward; ps5 controller doesnt work at all, any fixes?
I had the same problem but with a PS4 controller. After many hours i found a way that worked for me. Plug in your controller and go to steam controller settings > check the boxes next to guide button focuses steam, ps4 configuration support and xbox configuration support > add NFS Unbound as non-steam game, add NFS Unbound Trial as a non-steam game and also add EA Desktop app to steam > launch ea app from steam > after ea app starts running launch NFS unbound and leave the ea app and steam running in the background.
Very unusual and unnecessary but i hope this helps.
PS: always plug in your controller before you launch any other program and also the ea app must be fully closed before you start playing again after you close the game.
Leave it to EA to make the community do all sorts of testing to find a workaround for something that should've been in the game from day 0.
When FIFA 23 and F1 22 have native support for PS controllers why cant EA just tell all of their dev teams to do the same? The biggest joke here must be Codemaster having native support in F1 but not in GRID.
Or even better. Why not put support your new app the same way that Steam does so it will be solved for all of your games?
At least then the new app would do something better than Origin...
