This is potentially related to the number of cars you have:

Try the steps detailed at the link below:

Thanks.
Deleted all my cars in story mode and it worked finally 😭. Thanks for all the help yall!!
- @VQ35HRZ This is the wrong solution! Why should we delete cars if the developers have not set a limit on the number of cars in the game?

@chromiuuum it's because there is a glitch that can happen to a car that causes it to load slowly, deleting cars helps relieve the issue but not get rid of it, and if you were to wipe your save, it wouldn't work due to it bugging something else out, I know this due to multiple people having the same issue in another thread, I'm very sure it won't/ can't be fixed
Oh and BTW we literally can't do * on our end to fix it, restart game, still happens, reinstall game, still there, restart entire console, still happens, hard reset console, happens again, restart wifi modem/ gateway, still * happens, only "thing" that works is deleting you full save, but it results in other things bugging out like purchased DLC and other things, it's something only EA or Criterion can fix
Every time, online for me not works.
And after Vol.5 update - game too long loading. Devs, please fix it!
- @chromiuuum I have this problem more than 3 months. Now February, this problem not solved. Please help and fix this, Criterion!

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for letting us know what you are seeing, if you have not already please provide the requested information form our reply here.
Thanks!
- @EA_Illium yeah in every volume i have this problem
- @EA_Illium already did all the steps but still got the error
After Vol.6 I see that this problem solved for me. I hope.
- @chromiuuum UPD: - Sometimes later - FTCL5001 appeared. Damn.
Criterion. FIX IT! @EA_Illium I'm still having the issue and attempted to ask for help throughout multiple Emails and they have asked the same questions that you and multiple other community managers have said, it's a multiplayer save data issue and I have a possible fix IF you (or any other community manager) could do ...
Is it possible to delete a players multiplayer save data without affecting things like unlock progress (in general a players garage and wraps but not any progress on making cars purchasable or challenges) I have almost 30 days of playtime on my main that I don't want to lose and want to keep working on
P.S I have a alt account that I've been playing on as of Vol 6 and have never ran into this issue once while playing on it
P.S.S my main (Doryzzkendy) has this issue that badly that One: I can't even load into the Multiplayer garage and Two: it takes ages to load into the buy/ sell cars screen EVEN IF IM OFFLINE AND IN SINGLE PLAYER
P.S.S.S My alt in question is under the username of Hindune
Add-on to above post
1. It's not a X number of cars in garage that causes the issue as there are people that have 200 cars and no error code
2. Internet does have a slight effect (number of cars to safely play without error [my limit is 6 total cars before error shows up] and max number till it won't load into the garage [idk how many for me but it's more than 60])
3. Deleting all save data causes other things to happen (missing decals/ body kits on premium cars)
Criterion have already "technically" fixed it by preventing it happening to other players, the issue only lies with players who had the issue before the update that fixed it as it's within a players save data
- @Doryzzkendy deleting the saves and starting over is not the solution. I spent a lot of time to gain experience online, unlock a lot of achievements and customize cars. Developers should solve this problem in another way
@chromiuuum that's not what I'm saying....
I'm asking if they can delete all multiplayer vehicle data as that's where the issue lies
I don't want to restart myself due to almost having a months worth of stuff in my multiplayer garage
Anyways there are other issues that arise with deleting all data anyways so in full honesty deleting all data just makes it worse
- @Doryzzkendy How can you be so sure that Criterion has fixed this problem for new players?
@chromiuuum Cause I have a Alt that I've been playing on and have about 10 cars currently which is more than the 6 cars that I was limited to on my main
I could right now test it by just constantly buying the cheapest car till I have 200 cars in my multiplayer garage to check
Also just FYI in Vol 4 (which introduced the taycan) the patch notes included a point which was talking about fixing the cause of the issue
- @Doryzzkendy I had this problem, then it disappeared. Now it has reappeared since volume 5. For the first hours of playing in volume 6, I thought the problem was fixed, but with the next restart of the game, it returned again
@chromiuuum I've had it since Vol 3 (Delorean was added alongside linkups) and it's persisted since then, I made it disappear myself through deleting cars then stupidly thinking I fixed it bought EVERY SINGLE CAR IN VOL 4 and now I can't even load into Multiplayer without the game disconnecting me and booting me back to the main screen
It will even disconnect me in single player as well even though I'm not in multiplayer
