I am using an xbox one controller to play the game and I am launching through Origin. The game lets me use the controller at the very first screen to initiate the loading screen, however after that it will only detect keyboard inputs. I do not have this issue with any other Origin game. I have tried launching through Steam and this also does not work.
I am also having this issue its like they didnt even test the game, most suggestions im seeing for a fix are for those who have purchased their game on steam however I have done the work around (adding a non steam game to my library) and the issue persists.
I agree, unacceptable for EA especially since they pushed the trial release date back and we all purchased the palace edition to try it early. I'm currently asking for a refund as the game is literally unplayable.
Community Adminwireless controler not working, the game sees the controler but the inpute from the controler does not register.
My issue is that the controller works fine however there appears to be some sort of input lag from time to time.
you will be driving and try to take a corner only to be met with no input for 1-2 secs or you will taking that corner but then when you want to go straight you just keep turning, even if you let go of the controller
And this is WITH the controller connected via USB.
switching to bluetooth doesnt fix the issue either
can i check if wired xbox360 pc controller is working for the game? i'm able to play NFS: Heat on windows 11 with my wired controller but i pre ordered unbound and the game launches in but totally without controller i can see inside settings but i cant use my controller at all, please advise.

If you are tring to play wirelessly, can you swap to a wired connection and use that as a test?

Same thing happens for me, I'm using a wired official Xbox controller.
NFS (and FIFA 23) will ignore my controller inputs for 3-5 seconds randomly, locking itself to the previous input.
I've got the windows controller device open and windows is still registering the input but NFS is not accepting/listing to the input till it "reconnects" itself even though its never been disconnected.
Problem happens very randomly so its very hard to make it happen on demand.
