Hello, would you guys be interested in making a petition for NHL games to be ported on PC ? I am seriously tired of EA jumping on every sport games because they know that they can sell you the same 80$ games every year with little to no effort in updating it. At least, sell the licence to a company that thinks about their PC community. This is ridiculous... I want to play nhl as much as UFC on my pc and I will not buy a console only to play these two.So yeah, let`s make a petition for EA to port the game or sell the licence, we will show them how many people would actually buy the game. Also, it's not only about how many people buy it, think about how many players would spend their paycheck on packs... Edit: Removed bold and profanity. what you said here is just not valid, I don't know if these numbers are up to date but you are comparing sold games amount that are on consoles + PC vs a game that is only avalaible on consoles and there is about 90 millions ps5 and xbox series sold at the moment and according to the latest available data, there are an estimated 1.86 billion PC gamers worldwide. To really make a fair comparaison, the game would have to release on PC too.

Listen, we're not talking about making a new game from nothing, we're talking about porting it to pc, I get it, it's not a simple task but if they can't manage to do it with reaching hundred of thousands of users while making some sort of profit. They have a serious problem as a AAA game studio

I get the frustration with not having a game ypu want on your platform of choice, but there's no grand conspiracy here. EA doesn't have an exclusive NHL license. Anyone is free to negotiate a license with the NHL and create a competing product. EA also loves money. If they thought they could make enough profit with a PC port I'm sure they'd make one.

It was spelled out here a year or two ago that porting to PC is not a simple process and the development team is stretched as it is programming and patching for consoles (whether you think so or not). NHL videogames are simply not that popular with the masses - FIFA (EAFC) annually sells around 7-8 mil, Madden 5-6 mil, NHL tops out at around 1 mil. It's simply not worth it for EA to commit more resources to produce a PC version of a game that is low-profit as is.

There are already like 1,000 petitions to get NHL on PC - The trouble is, there are a thousand different people creating one instead of all consolidating to make it actually appear like people want it. We need a petition to merge em all together

But question maybe also is: Why each NHL season there is need for new $80 bucks. On consoles(which are worthless PC) for developers/others need their machine for their work duty.
And question also is, why new shiny UI with raytracing is requirement when graphics could be lowered to less capables... $80 bucks maybe, but each 5+5 years maybe, with season DLC, without new shiny stuff each version, only allow to run without hassle on supported compatibility platform. Those with UI capables, there is development according income... And maybe each season DLC may such outcome for old year NHLs may some accounting excel tables be approachable... Or if there is some 3rd party engine accessible to make their league DLC with supported NHL season stats and engine from NHL, excel tells.
But if missing NHL $80 bucks from consoles is cruel, maybe for those without XBOX, or low PC specs according EA profile, with compatibility mode for multiplayer on their bucket and their fun on their work PC.

Yes and do you know why people don't want to play hockey game? Surely it's not because the quality of the only hockey game we have? Hell, even I am considering to stop playing and buying it going forward. My experience this year with the game has been worst in decade and that says something. The countless technical issues and when that wasn't enough EA sports dev team added lag to the gameplay month ago and still no word of if it even gets fixed. So no man, people don't want to play your game because it's so bad quality not because the player base is small. If you skipped a year on releasing it and solely focused on the quality of the game then released it polished your sales would skyrocket.

The other sports games also have a significantly higher playerbase just due to the popularity of those sports. Hockey is more of a niche sport. While there are billions of PC gamers, a small fraction of them would be playing a hockey video game.

dont forget that on this 90 millions console users, a lot of them have pc's + consoles and they will prefer buying it on pc for the performance gains

So by your logic, there is more hockey fans in the 90 millions console users vs the 1.86 billion pc gamers ? If it is profitable on console, even by a small margin, it would be even more on pc. Also, putting the game on hold while porting it sounds like an excuse, they do it with all their other sport games.

It's not about the amount of PC gamers though. Hockey is a niche sport. Chances are excellent there isn't a big enough community of PC hockey players that would warrant the tremendous amount of work it takes to make this happen. It would also mean putting the console version of the game on hold while the PC version is developed.

Porting the game is just one piece of what it would take to bring it to PC. If it were that easy, it would have been done by now.

There are tons outside of the forums but I reckon most of the signees have given up at this point. I vaguely remember one good list of about 14ish thousand people when NHL 15 released but even then, that is just a fraction of what you'd actually need to make EA do it.

My buddy and I are PlayStations mainstays so I honestly don't care enough about it outside of only wanting a PC version strictly so I don't need to keep seeing posts about it. Your best bet would definitely be Reddit or Twitter and getting a bare minimum 100K people to sign it; If anyone out there has a friend in media, they could find interview schedules or whatever and someone could always pop a random hashtag on TV or whatever.

a random dev made a goofy hockey game and sold 34k copies in the first 8 days with NO marketing at all. Now think about EA actually making their NHL games available on PC.
