I’m about 60+ games into my rookie season in Be A Pro, and when I try to play the next game on the schedule, it crashes during the loading screen. I’ve tried to sim past this game, but then it just crashes when trying to play the next one. I can’t get past this in any way that I’ve found. Is there a fix for this? I can’t find any on these forums The worst part is that this is the second time this has happened to me in NHL25 Be A Pro - the first career I started had the same thing happen around 40+ games into it, and I had to start over from scratch. Now the same thing is happening again, and if it can’t be saved, I’ll be throwing away over 100 games in two careers. That’s beyond ridiculous. Believe it or not, I’ve played every single year of EA NHL since it first came out on Sega Genesis (yes, I’m old). Some years have been stronger or weaker than others along the way, but this is the first time where I feel like EA has taken my money for a non-functioning product. As far as I can tell, I am literally unable to play this game in the mode that I want to. I hope I’m wrong, and someone out there can point me to a fix. This whole thing is incredibly disappointing after being a customer for over 30 years.

So I went ahead and started a new Be a Pro career from scratch. For the third time.i played 37 games, and…… it crashes at exactly the same point when I try to start my next game. I choose the team jerseys, I hit Start Game, it goes to the VS screen, and as soon as the chunky guitar chords start, BANG crash to main PS menu. Exactly the same as last time, and exactly the same as the time before that.That’s three for three - I can’t even play through a single rookie season. It’s the middle of April and I haven’t even yet played as the position I chose (center) in the setup. I’ll say it again - I’ve played this game since the very first version on Sega Genesis when I was in high school, and I’m done. Not planning to ever buy again, because it is, quite literally, unusable.

@EA-Aljo I get that it’s a corrupt save, I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m pointing out that I’ve never had an issue with any other game I’ve played. Never before, and not currently in any other games I’m playing. Not one single corrupt save in any other game at any time. Yet NHL25 is three for three in corrupt saves. That can’t just be a coincidence, can it?

Hi there. What console are you on? I'll give you some instructions for deleting the personal saved data. This does run the risk of deleting the save. Normally, that's not the case. It's the only option to potentially fix this though.

I’m on PS5. I’ll give anything a try, but the method I found on here last time (I don’t remember exactly what it was) deleted everything and I had to start from scratch. I’d really like to avoid that if possible.

If a crash always happens at the same time in BaP or Franchise Mode, that's most likely a corrupt save. If your console randomly boots you back to the dashboard, that's a different issue.

I'm having the exact same problem. Grinding through a be a pro career and now I can only sim games, anytime I try to play I get booted in the load in screen. The first be a pro career ive actually committed to grinding through so I'm pretty pissed.

Can you get me a video of it? Just put it up somewhere it can be streamed. I'm not optimistic we can get this fixed, but I'll look into it. Normally, once a save is corrupt, there's nothing that can be done except for what we've tried already.

I deleted the saved data on the console, and also deleted the game. I restarted the console, reinstalled the game, and downloaded the saved data from the cloud. It still crashes at exactly the same point. Any other ideas?

Try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 25. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 25 and delete the saved data. Let me know what happens. Thanks!
