First, just reboot your console and router and retry playing.
If you need to, boot in Safe Mode and then Rebuild Database.

If you still have the issue and/or are on Xbox, uninstalling/reinstalling the game may be required.
Your save game data should be fine.

I’ve done almost everything possible and it didn’t work. My friends play on the same router and don’t have this problem it is just me

I’ve also deleted my saved data on Xbox for my profile on nhl and uninstalled and reinstalled my game and it didn’t work

Can users be compensated or refunded by EA for this?
There will clearly not be a fix for this.
