Keep losing connection to opponents in Hut Champs games

Generally happens within the first 3 minutes and I get an L.

Isp says no issues.  No other games/devices do this.

Infuriating

Hi there. Are you on a wired or wireless connection? Also, have you tried the troubleshooting steps here?

Well it's wired but wireless, if that makes any sense...it's wireless to my lower level router thingy then wired to my Xbox.

Anyway, I keep having the issue...disconnecting to my opponent within the first few minutes resulting in a loss.  I don't lose connection to the EA server though.

This doesn't happen with any other game or online device.

    Plz help

Are you saying your router is using a wireless connection to your modem?

That's probably the issue. Can you connect it with a wire instead?

I'll try to hardwire it.  Just seems odd that'd be the issue.

I played nhl 24 on wifi last year with no issue and that was on a much slower connection

Wireless is probably the biggest reason for lag and disconnects. Using a wire should help. If it doesn't, that would be a bigger issue that your ISP should troubleshoot. Make sure you power cycle your modem/router and console after making the switch.
