NHL25 crashes all the time in game

They are having the issue on both PS5 and XBox and it has beed said the only fix so far was the purchase of a new console.

Seems there are not enough of us with the issue to mandate a large research.

I am having the exact same issues. 

I have a series x and have had to reset Xbox completely twice now. Removed everything each time I did a factory reset. Downloaded only NHL 25 and the Xbox still shuts off during Eashl 6’s and 3’s and HUT rivals matches. 

Xbox is also connected directly to the wall, hard wired to router. Cleaned out Xbox of all dust as well.

So far, we just haven't been able to reproduce this and we get very few reports of it. So, it's possible there's some rare combination that is causing it to happen for some of you. Have you tried swapping out all your customizations? Does it only occur in club games and not drop-ins or is it happening in both? Do you use the on-ice trainer? Do you use a custom gamerpic? These are just some examples of more unique things that may contribute to this. While it might be commonly happening for you, we may not be recreating the same environment that is causing this crash to happen. Any additional details, along with any video that you have may really help.

I mostly play online club - mostly 3v3, but, play 6v6 when have full team. Happens on both. Recording: If I could find a way to record, how would I share the video?

What mode(s) are you crashing in? Is it possible to get a video? We still haven't been able to reproduce this. Which is why we haven't been able to get it fixed.

UPDATE: since last post:

At the end of Feb '25, I uninstalled NHL25, rebooted. Then I did a local reset (just resets console settings and local memory) on my XBOX. I then refreshed my router. I reinstalled NHL25 - I did not reinstall nor boot any other game. After this, I cleared NHL25s game cache after every play session. After a few days, I then reinstalled/updated other games that were impacted by reset.

This seems to work for about a month, however, recently I starting just dropping to the home screen all over again. Happened several times last week and happened 3 times Saturday (3/22). On each boot to home screen I cleared NHLs cache before reloading.

I should not have to go through all of this for one game... no other game does this, just NHL 25 - not even previous versions of NHL have done this. I can play other EA games for hours upon hours and other non-EA games for hours upon hours - including bandwidth suckers like COD and Fortnite.

EA needs to get this in check. I have been on NHL since even before it's birth into online play - like many of these users. It is going to take a fair amount of convincing to get me to buy NHL 26. The team I play with has moved over to other games with me so we can have our fun there. Sad! Good news is, we are getting much better at Black OPs 6 - thanks NHL :)

This game is cheeks constantly crashing can hardly play this what a joke ea has become with the constant copy and paste year after year. Figure it out and make this game playable ffs 

Hi there. Try power cycling your network equipment by unplugging your modem/router for a couple minutes. Also, hard restart your console by holding in the power button until it turns off. Turn it all back on again and try playing. Let me know if that helps or not.

I been trying to play HUT for hours all day and all it keeps saying is EA Servers are unable to connect. I just bought the game 2 days ago

Can you inform us if this week patch does anything for the crashing issue?
