When you say you're blocked, does that same error message about permissions come up any time to try what you mentioned?
I'm sure I'm not the only person on this thread getting incredibly frustrated by the constant same questions that have been answered now by multiple people, with no sign of any fix.
I'll try and summarise - on PS5, the EA Play trial is broken.
Many people here have said that since the free trial weekend, users on PS5 with EA Play subscriptions, get the "Trial permissions could not be found for this user" either when trying to enter CHEL or start anything in HUT (Squad battle, Moment, Wild card etc), at which point the game resets and restarts.
This appears to be the same problem whether it was installed before, during, or after the free trial weekend, if its been deleted and reinstalled (several times!), if we restore licenses, or clear cache (which also deletes user details on the console like game lists and the home widgets - thanks), or if its a new/existing monthly or annual EA Play subscription. The only consistent details seem be that the problem is still affecting the PS5 but was fixed for XBOX several days ago.
TLDR: NHL25 EA Play trial is STILL broken on PS5!
