125mph shots

I can't imagine that there's a reason to include shots that are 15mph faster than the fastest shot ever recorded? I saw a video (of NHL 26) on YouTube where Nick Bjugstad scored with a slapshot that measured above 125mph. As someone who awaits the official release in a couple of hours, I haven't yet played it and seen for myself if this is a regular occurrence or a fluke, but it strikes me as more likely that it is not uncommon.

Having those shot speed numbers show during the game, it would look better if they were more realistic and not a lot faster than we normally see. Here's the video: Blues @ Stars (NHL 26) Bjugstad goal

  • Yeah I'm kinda wondering that myself...this is one of the things they need to nerf in EASHL, or just leave it in the arcadey type modes.

Hey there. If you experience this in game, try to get a video of it. We need to see how exactly it's happening as shot speed is also dependent on how the shot is taken. Obviously, 125.5 is way too high. Thanks!
