AI players should commit penalties more frequently.

Even with penalty sliders turned up to maximum, including individual penalty sliders, there are far too few power-play opportunities generated for human players when competing against the AI.

i’m not sure if this is related to how they interact with strategies or the aggression slider, but I do feel that it is far too difficult to gain power-play opportunities in general. I have my sliders set for realism yet I struggle to ever get more than two power-play opportunities in a single game.

I also frequently have games where there are no power-play opportunities generated for me even though all sliders are set to maximum in terms of CPU penalties.

could the AI be adjusted to commit penalties more frequently or could the penalty sliders be made more impactful on AI behavior?

Yeah, this problem was reported many times.

Personally, I stopped playing because there are no powerplays in my games. Hooking, tripping, slashing, high-sticking – all of them are completely missing.

I hope a fix will be released soon. It would be enough if it just worked the same way as in NHL 25
