I should have clarified. We can use the images that were provided before previous seasons. They're sent to us before the game launches. After that, we have to wait until next year's batch to be sent out.

We aren't able to use any pic we want. There are very strict regulations on this. We are only able to use images provided by the leagues at the beginning of the season. Please ignore the misinformation in this thread.

If what you say is true. Why does the Canadiens Demidov have no pic in his base card. But he has one in Next Gen! If you go on the web and type in. Does EA and the NHLPA have a contract regarding players photos. You will get the answer there. Has nothing to do with the beginning of the year.
