I should have clarified. We can use the images that were provided before previous seasons. They're sent to us before the game launches. After that, we have to wait until next year's batch to be sent out.

Regarding Aljos comment. He may be correct in stating about when and how EA receives photos from the NHLPA. in your reference, that FIFA gives more updated photos during the season, demonstrates the relationship these two sports bodies have with EA. It is obvious, that the EAs NHL franchise, does not have the same sort of contract as Its soccor franchise does. Im sure it all comes down to sales regarding these two games. The best seller gets the better deal. Just another indicator how the NHL game is losing ground.
