On #3 Gameplay Sliders, if you use one of the presets (5, 10, or 20 minutes) then it resets the sliders, the presets aren't just for time but also sliders. I use custom and set the time and my gameplay sliders and they never reset. Once I accidentally selected preset and yep, all the gameplay sliders reset. Use Custom.
