This is unfortunately a classic bug in the game but the games gameplay sliders presets (customizing the gameplay, skating etc) do not save when you click on play next game. It gives you the 3 options of game length but it was previously fixed in the past year by adding custom to then be able to load your custom gameplay sliders.
Now I have to redo all the settings before eveygrame…
I would uplaod a video but it's honesly useless. Its basically quite straighforward because when you click on play the game it forces you to choose the number of shifts (period lenghts) and I feel like those options are all linked to the default presets and dont pick up the customized ones.

You literally have to SIM the game pick which period you wanna play and then your gameplay sliders will take affect. The only issue with doing this is you eliminate the national anthem the tunnel cut scene coming out because you’ve already simulated the game and picking which period you wanna play Why can’t the gameplay sliders just take affect and save normally from the beginning?

Its a workaround maybe but such a bummer I have so many modifications to enjoy the gameplay and I have to go through them one by one every game kind of kills the vibe a bit
Yes, this is broken. For people like myself that change a bunch of the game sliders, having to do so before each game makes it unbearable. Im hoping this is just in the World Junior games… Have not gotten past them because game crashed in Bronze medal game on my first pass through (PS5)
I also dont understand why you cannot save your slider changes in a preset in BAP like you can in Franchise mode. Baffles my mind. I sometimes worry you guys dont actually play this game.
All they have to do is take that part out of BA pro just allow you to play the game if you wanna change the minutes or the difficulty you can go into the settings and do that not make that an option right out the gate because then it returns the default gameplay sliders. They want me to play this game with the default sliders when I have NHL pro hockey players shooting pucks like mini mites or they can’t make a correct pass.

Yeah honestly it’s quite an easy fix and it happens every year somehow I don’t know how that gets through quality control. Although I’m super happy with the game, that part genuinely sucks.
Also shoutout to the person that pointed out that there’s a workaround by jumping into a game mid sim, it does work that way but you indeed lose the beginning of the game presentation
