I enjoy hockey and the game itself, besides of all negative stuff and bugs it gives us, hopefully it will be fixed and upgraded in time.

i like playing chel modes with my club/buddies, and even random people, its always not perfect or good games, but you can learn from them. Some players are team oriented players (looking for good pass to give, some for open spaces to take a good shots), some are (solo try hards). It a mix of all.
i agree sometimes the game “feels” clunky and slow for you. But fast and clean for opposing team. Like all there passes from mile away goes through the skates, between the legs.
in my opinion chel mode was better in NHL25 🤷‍♂️. There is bugs an issues everywhere but 26 has most of it.
