L2/LT Mechanic is Ruining the Gameplay

I’d honestly like a response from the developers on this. How is it that we go from, “L2 can’t be abused” at the beginning of the game release to the Ice Capades in its current format?

The only way that is currently being used to beat a defender or draw a penalty is by holding in LT/L2 so long, without losing an iota of speed or agility, that it turns your player around backwards and still having the ability to create offense. 

What the hell happened to simulation hockey? This has become nothing but arcade at best and it’s truly a shame there isn’t any sort of competition to give EA a run for their money like 2K. 

This mechanic that you claimed to have fixed at the game release is completely and utterly broken and is ruining gameplay.  I’ve spent nearly 500 hrs on this game and rarely do you see any type of simulation hockey play.  Every single time, regardless of game mode, you get into the offensive zone it’s L2/LT and the defense can’t do anything (except take a penalty).  Meanwhile, the offense can do whatever they want and lose zero speed, lose zero agility, and can’t be checked or lose the puck. 

I for one will not be buying the game next year if this isn’t fixed and I hope a lot of people do the same.
