You either are ignoring what Im posting or simply dont care, and its quite arrogant stating "you have options". I understand that RIGHT now is a Monday in the afternoon, but what about Friday, Saturday, evenings? I posted this on a weekend at like 7pm and we have yet to find a game with me playing goalie. I clearly stated we've tried ALL Weekend. We've had 2 people up to 4-5 and yet nothing. I understand its early access, that part is fine. What I dont like is I cant even join a game even if the other team doesnt have a human goalie.
Telling me, ' well if it doesnt work play 3v3 or use drop-in' is basically telling me, thank you for the 130$, play the game how WE want you to play, not how YOU want to play. With all do respect, 3v3 is an arcade, OT like gamemode and doesnt play anything like a real hockey game. I dont enjoy that. I dont want to play that. 6v6 with drop-ins is full of 18 yo kids making racist names, pulling the goalie nonstop, taking 20-30 penalties etc. That's not like real hockey, i dont want to play that. I understand your codebase logic looks for another human goalie and similar club size. I get that, but what im telling you is that is fundamentality flawed, and you should reinstate the match my clubsize / goalie options you had 2 years ago that EVERYONE loved. You removed it for no reason and it has made matchmaking significantly worse.
How would you explain to a 12 yo kid who got his parents to pay for the game or used his allowance, who is excited for nhl 26 to play goalie with his friends in the most NHL like game made, EASHL 6v6. Hes a young goalie who only wants to play goalie, but they sit in MM for 25-30 mins with no luck. You are going to say "switch positions, play 3v3, or open drop-ins were you will play with toxic adults who dont give a s*** about you". You are okay with saying that bc that is what it seems like.
Telling a user who PAID 130$ CAD that I cant play with my friends the way I want to, in the position I want to is beyond pathetic and you should be ashamed as an EA community manager.

I'm not telling you to play how we want you to. I'm saying there are options for opening up matchmaking. That's fine if you choose not to use them. Your matchmaking pool will be smaller in that case. Especially during early access. I'm well aware of the trolls in drop-ins. I've faced them many times myself. I've also had a huge amount of games with no trolls that have been very fun. Especially, when I only join club games. Unfortunately, the player pool isn't big enough at the moment to support your ideal team makeup. It's also very possible this has to do with your club's ping. Especially if you're all in different regions or in an area with a lower pool of players.
