This is hugely needed. It forces your hand to sit there through 3 periods of **bleep** and wait for the game to end so you don't take a DNF. And, they should add penalties for quitting (if you quit, you're suspended from rejoining gameplay for 15 minutes with the penalties growing with every quit). Overwatch has a lot of these things in place that prevent quitters that NHL could adopt.
The quitting penalty would be better for WoC as it's a team mode. Online Versus it doesn't really matter and would have more wait times. If people want to quit in OV, so be it. But the toxic behavior is really not okay.
