You're not forced to play NHL 26. You can go back and play NHL 12 if you truly and honestly believe that BAP mode is far more feature rich than the mode coming out in '26.

No it's not. It is part of a list of features such as Ice-Q 2.0 (I'm very interested to see the ai adjustments here), a refresh of the X-Factor system and new HUT seasons - the details of which are still unknown.
That said, I am personally quite disappointed in this year's lineup of 'new' features. I'm not an offline guy at all - so the BAP updates don't do much for me. HUT is a cash-cow I don't like supporting, so those updates don't excite me either. Not a single mention of any changes to World of Chel, so chances are - we're getting minimal updates there in terms of features, customization, etc.
What does have me excited are the gameplay changes. Having played the beta, the noticeable gameplay difference had me looking forward to playing the final release.
I'm still holding out hope there's some kind of online element being added to franchise mode (a la GM Connected) in some kind of post-release feature update, but that hope is fading daily.

Please stop acting as if EA is refusing to add features because they don't want to. If you don't fully understand the complexity of game development, you shouldn't be commenting on the work ethic of those who do.

Again with the AI-Generated slop responses. You need to realize most people can see right through these posts. They're filled with empty platitudes that mean nothing because you haven't prompted the AI with enough information to appear knowledgeable about the basic features of the game.
KidShowtime1867 there really is no good reason to be a **bleep** on my thread. Keep defending EA as if they give you a paycheck. Keep acting like the community is wrong by shaming them and harassing them for asking for basic features to be returned to the game. Such a good little EA HERO you are

Kid isn't really wrong on most of his takes. He's been around forever and you just know how things are done when it comes to the NHL franchise. And this dates back to the old old forums when a dev by the name of Redshirt had posted. They aim for the NHL series to be around 80% real hockey with 20% arcade mixed in(talking about gameplay). So what happens is that arcade part just sticks out so much more and usually angers people.
I mean look at how presentation has been since making the jump to the Xbox and PS4 upwards. The presentation you have all asked for year after year still hasn't come and instead they have added their own takes on presentation. I I do understand all of your passion for it and they know it too, but who knows when they will truly jump back into that route.
Overall if you stick around for years you will see the routine the series has taken and it should give you an idea of what to expect or not expect.

I'm not saying or doing anything particularly egregious other than pointing out your blatant use of ChatGPT to formulate your 'ideas'. The reason I'm calling this out is because you seem to think the insights it's generating for you are these profound and incredibly well thought out criticisms and/or suggestions - but they're not.
"the game would be great if EA just wanted it to be" is not good feedback. Nor is it some incredibly unique piece of insight into what you think would translate to quality updates to the game.
"the depth, weight, and realism of a true NHL simulation keeps getting ignored." is yet another generated word-salad slop that is empty and void of any real tangible feedback or suggestion.
Learn to formulate actual ideas with real-world examples in order to get your point across. Going to ChatGPT and asking it to "generate ideas" will get the exact slop you've been posting and it's incredibly lazy.

KidShowtime1867 you're entitled to your opinion I'm just glad that this post has received as many comments views and likes as it did that tells me a lot. All my stuff is incredibly positive and trying to come with solution and resolve that gives fans what they want while maximizing EA's profits, which is exactly what their business model is about because they are a **bleep**ing business. You can stand on your soapbox with your negative overly critical nonsense all you want. It actually brings more attention to this post which is great.

Your solution is literally "make the game better". Truly profound stuff there.

KidShowtime1867 made some updates "HERO" there's a lot of specifics in here that would significantly improve the series while making EA more money. Nothing in here is being critical of EA. I love the new game so far, do I wish a lot of features specifically to me like franchise and simulation depth were in the game absolutely especially when some of those things were in the game in the past and are in other EA games. There is no denying that without competition. EA has a monopoly on Nhl video gaming. If their business model was to change and make more money while also providing fans features which we request year in and year out, it's win-win man don't be a bully. Hope you're having a great day!
