I know Aljos comment to you is correct. If it was purchazed from a retailer other than an online purchase. It would be the discretion of the establishment you purchased it from to attain a refund. However. If you bought it from EA online. You could contact EA and lodge a complaint for a refund. Im sure you would have to give a better reason, than "you are fed up with the game".

You can't actually buy console games directly from EA though. As I recall when I was looking for it a few months ago, the games could be found in their online store, yes, but if you want to buy NHL 26 you are sent to either Playstation or Xbox stores and buy it from them.
So there's really nothing EA can do about refund requests as far as I know.
Yeah, my reason is about 25% of the time or more, this happens in the middle of the game in Cup Chase mode. This is from this morning. It happened again to me a day or two ago. Its literally unplayable. Could you imagine a car randomly shifting to Park when you’re driving it? An oven randomly changing temperatures? Or your phone just freezing and anything you did on it was lost?
The only alternative to make it palatable would be if progress would be saved when there was a software error including getting a win when you were winning a game.
Ive had it happen several times now. Usually its no players on the ice, but the crowd is active and game music is playing. Then theres the one where, players become frozen in place. Obviously another glitch in this game, that may not get rectified.
