The only thing players do is glitch, EA this is terrible that you allow this. The game isn’t fun anymore. There is no skill involved and every team does one of two glitch goals. This side skating and ankle breaking turns that aren’t possible is just annoying. And the players that play this way get praised as if they are good. You’ve taken a staple game from EA and turned into something that isn’t enjoyable.
Yeah that's why we stopped playing. All fun is gone it's just annoying to play .
I sent 1 hr yesterday trying to play drop in games, spent 45 min crashing every single lobby to the main menu and when i did eventually get into a game, it was 3 shots/3 goals and every glitch/exploit move possible from the other club (was a 5 man club playing droppins which is sad on its own) so i left after 1 period. Worst game by far they ever produced and only going to get worst unfortunately so I have officially gave up playing CHEL because its the most un-fun you can ever have playing a game now :(

If your opponents are using the same 2 ways to score every time, it should be easier to defend those since you know they're coming.

I agree. Changes were made so they are easier to knock off the puck. I recommend stepping up on them. Hopefully, we'll find a better solution for this in the future.
Easier to defend yes but the “law of averages” usually and eventually works in their favour. I’ve been playing this game long enough and I’m good enough to recognize and prevent these goals but certain players do these to perfection that just makes them to hard to prevent sometimes. Some of these goals are just over powering and especially if they’re playing with teammates and have a second go to goal to switch to. Having an AI goalie doesn’t help either because they’re so unpredictable.
I’ve played with players and teams that ONLY attempted these goals and even when easily winning games with them just wasn’t fun. It is what it is so I just move onto the next game and hope I’m not playing with and or against players that exploit these goals.
It’s rare but when you do get a game full of 6’s with all 12 capable players playing their positions properly and not using exploits this game does play very well and is fun.
What changes were made? It’s all they still do even after this supposed update. Stop being a fan boy and please tell the truth. The game is become garbage. You can’t stop the glitch goals or the glitch skating you know this if you’ve played the game
Read that EA sales were down 15% from last year. Anyone wondering why! Now with this new ownership. Cant see things getting any better.
The whole reason its effective is because the shoulder is almost invincible to any light-medium speed hit. Thats why the top players only do it when closer to the defender.
i mean im no coder but cant you significantly slow them down if LT is engaged within 1-2 seconds after puck protect?
if puck protect=true, and LT pressed within 1-2 seconds, reduce agi, speed, accel by 50%?

Love how the answer is always skill issue. Sometimes it is sometimes your game just sucks "shrugs" I often feel like I have very little controll of my player. Playing d forcing someone to the outside. See an opertunity to land a hit. No wait he's doubling back so let off pulling back on the right stick and there I go sucked into animation I have no controll over. Or you do line up the hit and pfft womp womp just rolls right off him. I'm full green your blinking red! Womp womp. It's like when your going in and made a great move or cut on the d and womp womp your guy won't shoot. Idk anymore seems like all the post on here are saying the same thing and it's womp womp 🤷♂️
