I have played NHL games ever since NHL09. I have been a huge fan of this game until I got my Xbox Series X. This game seems unplayable for some reason on the Xbox series X and is impossible to complete 1-3 games without it crashing. The crash occurs in almost any mode especially online ranked, squad battles/cup chase, and even moments. I have had this issue since NHL22 and it seems there is no solution to this besides buying a new console (can’t be a series x). It’s strange as I can play any other game on my console with no issues at all. Including MLB, Call of Duty, Rainbow six Seige, or any other game title you can think of unless it’s Madden or NHL. I have researched this issue and brought it to attention every year and get no response or a few suggestions such as cleaning the console, using an external storage, uninstalling and redownloading and changing your DNS settings (none of them work). My Xbox is in a well ventilated area and has a fan aimed at it to prevent overheating (which it hardly gets hot at all). It’s frustrating as I truly love the NHL franchise and willing to purchase a new console but I am unsure if this issue will still occur. What I have gathered from years of research is it seems Xbox series S has no where near the issues people have on the Series X. I know EA will not look into this issue since they can’t replicate it on their side and not enough people face this issue so we are out of luck. I guess our only solution is to spend an additional $400 to purchase a console to have the risk of it still occurring. It’s hard to justify a whole new console when every single other game runs flawlessly. Please reply to this if you have the same issue and maybe one day they can look further into it.
