Game freezes

XboxX. NHL 26 freezes about 5 seconds into loading the game. It then kicks me back to home. Last year NHL 25 would freeze the whole Xbox. Nothing was resolved last year. I just deleted the game and went back to playing NHL 24. NHL 24 still works fine. What changed from 24 to 25/26 that would freeze the game? Also every other game works fine. I also cleared the cache, unplugged and restarted the box, checked connections, reinstalled the game, delete then reinstalled my profile, changed my profile pic, plus sacrificed a chicken and poured salt around the Xbox to expel and evil spirits. Thoughts?

    Maybe a port issue, what ports need to be open for the game?

    Does NHL 25/26 require the game to be online? Maybe a communication/server error? I am grasping at straws here…

    It is a console, so I don’t know how it could be a hardware issue. Unless one of the settings is incorrect. 

    Every other game including NHL 24 works.

    Maybe a port issue with the console or router?

    Thoughts?

    If you have the digital version of the game, an online connection is required.

    There is a thread of others here with the same issue. It's been occurring for a couple of games now and we haven't found a way to reproduce it as none of our consoles are crashing. Hopefully, we'll find out what is causing this and get it fixed. I know it's incredibly frustrating.
