Yup, this is exactly what I’m talking about. Been dealing with this for years. 

Having the same issue on ps5. I hope they make this right. Maybe even do cup chase a pause-able game mode that way it will ensure no lost progress

Hey, everyone. I'll get this reported. If it's like the previous years though, we have never been able to reproduce this. In the instances it was resolved, one person used a fan to provide extra cooling and the other purchased a new console. My best advice, until we can find what is causing this, is to open your console and clear out any dust/debris. I did this on my own day one Series X recently and it made a huge difference. 

In no way am I saying this is the reason for the crashes. It's always possible this is game related. Unfortunately, with so few reports and no way to reproduce it, we haven't found what is causing this.

I've been a player of the NHL series for quite some time. I love the new version of the game and so does my online friend I play with but the literal constant crashing of the game is dampening our excitement. 

The game crashes his Xbox while we play online versus constantly. We have only been able to complete one game out of 10 attempts. 

I have tried the Be a Pro mode and played deep into the 3rd period before my game froze and returned me to the Xbox Home screen, very frustrating for a mode I will usually play multiple seasons of. 

Please fix the crashing so we can enjoy this otherwise outstanding game. 

Hey there. Can you and your friend ensure your consoles aren't overheating? That is the common cause for this. Your Xbox needs to be in a well ventilated area. Also, if you've had it for more than a year, chances are good there's a fair amount of dust and debris inside. I'd recommend watching some YouTube videos on cleaning them out. I did this recently on my own and it made a huge difference. I had no idea how much dirt had built up over the last few years. 

Regardless, we're not ruling out any issues with the game. There are always a small amount of reports of this, but we've never been able to reproduce it.

I appreciate your reply; my Xbox is situated on an aftermarket fan with covers on all open areas to prevent dust build up AND I have manually cleaned it as well. I'm not sure about whether my friend has ever opened up his xBox but will advise him to do so. The thing is, it does not happen with other games, which is why we come to the website for solutions. Thanks again!
