Upgraded Fedorov won’t work

This may have been mentioned elsewhere but I couldn’t find it. Basically last season I was awarded an 86 ovr Fedorov Icons card. This morning I spent 20,000 hut coins on a buy now 90 ovr Fedorov and it’s nowhere to be found when I try to add it to the lineup. I can auction or quick sell it but can’t use it in a game. What am I doing wrong or not understanding about it?
