Merging Accounts
I'm not entirely familiar with using the origin forums, so I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong section. I was wondering if it is possible to merge two origin accounts together. I bought the sims 3 sometime around 2013, and created an account for the sims 3 website to purchase stuff packs etc. This was before it was required to open any EA games through the origin launcher, so I didn't use an origin account at the time, just my sims account. A few years later my mom purchased an expansion pack for me through origin, so I had to install origin to download this expansion pack. I was able to change the origin account to my personal email later on so I could use my purchased expansion packs, however I didn't realize that my original sims account was using a different email. (I hope this all makes sense) I have two separate origin accounts now, one email which has all my purchases on the actual sims 3 website and one that has my purchased expansion packs as well as my stats for other EA games, like Apex. I was wondering if it is possible to merge two accounts together, or who I have to contact in order to do so, etc. Thanks in advance 🙂

Yes, you can merge two accounts. You do need to have access to the email addresses associated with both, so you can prove ownership. It should be fairly straightforward for an EA support rep to merge. If they say they can't, try calling instead of chatting, although calls aren't available at all times of day.

One important thing to keep in mind is that the account that is merged into the other, as in, the one that disappears, will likely not transfer its TS3 store content. So if you merge the one that owns your store stuff, you may well lose it, and there's no way to get it back. This applies only to content you download through the store site, not expansion or stuff packs, which will be merged properly. On the other hand, I think it's likely that your stats for your other games would disappear if the account that holds them is merged. I don't know for sure though; that would be something to ask on those games' boards.
Given the situation, you may decide it's better not to merge and lose your data from one account.
