origin won't open in mac

Question

Hi everyone. Ive been trying to open origin for the past 2 days now and I can't get it to work. It's been working fine for years but suddenly doesn't? Ive deleted the app and redownloaded it, deleted de cache, ran first aid of Macintosh, checked for hidden updates on the activity monitor, ran the origin reset tool, reset the actual computer... nothing has worked. It's stuck on this screen and doesn't do anything. Im on Mac 10.13.6, late 2013. However on my&nbsp;MacBook Air macOS 14.5 it does open. Any suggestions as to what's wrong? The app did open yesterday morning but ever since updating the sims 4 it hasn't opened again.&nbsp;Could it be the new massive update? Thanks in advance.&nbsp;

update, it now looks like this, still doesn't do anything more.

@23006211&nbsp; Do you have two-factor authentication enabled for your EA account?&nbsp; If so, try disabling it, at least temporarily.

Your 2013 Mac can run at least Catalina and I think Big Sur, if you'd like to update now or in the future.&nbsp; And when Origin is sunset, which will be in a few months, you won't be able to play EA games unless you can run the EA App.&nbsp; The App's minimum requirement is Catalina as of now.

Just checked, don't have two-factor authentication enabled. No updates available for my Mac, apparently. The app is still not working unfortunately.

@23006211&nbsp; You'd need to manually download and install the new version of macOS.&nbsp; Here are links:

Whether you can install Big Sur will depend on the model Mac you have, but Catalina will definitely run on any 2013 Mac.&nbsp; And Big Sur looks different, so if you don't like that new layout, stick with Catalina, which is new enough for the EA App.
