So I bought a game an needed to install origin. But I cant run the installer. Won't even open up.I have:- ran in admin- done a full reboot- cleaned out cache- disabled anit virus- reset my proxy- reset internet- Installed legacy (It worked but every time I try to open it, it go's into a update loop)So I aint got a clue what im supposed to do at this point.if I cant fix this in a few days ima just refund my game cuz this is to much effort just for a launcher ill rarely use.

The first thing to do is to take a couple of minutes and try the following steps: Firewalls and Internet Security Software: Make sure that you’ve added the Origin client as an exception to any Firewalls or other Internet Security Software, like Ad-Block, you may have running so that your connection to our servers isn’t blocked. Your software may even have some Internet ports blocked. If so, the following are used by the Origin client and must be open for a smooth connection: TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900 UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 2990 Let me know how you get on. My problem is fixed.. I just installed a older version of origin and it got updated to new one🙋🏻♂️

My problem is fixed.. I just installed a older version of origin and it got updated to new one🙋🏻‍♂️

Hey @Going2kilzu1 you can try downloading the legacy version of Origin as it worked for @XxshamtkxX.

I'd also suggest trying a clean boot of your system as this issue is caused by something interfering with Origin and you install: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

If you had read the post I have tried the legacy version an it sent it into an update loop. Also I've done a clean boot like a week ago so I'm not going through that process again just for one program an having to reinstall over 500gbs of games again for the 5th time in the last 3 months. Ide he better off getting a refund for the game I bought.

I love when I buy a game on steam an it requires origins. an since origins is a broken mess it never wants to work. cuz aparently im missing a file called Link2ea an I cant fix the problem cuz origin refuses to install even though it ran fine not 2 weeks prior.

Hey @Going2kilzu1 I understand that you are frustrated but I tested Origin just there and linked games through Steam without any issue, I'm also not seeing many reports of this issue so it's most likely a case that this is a system issue. This means that it's often pretty easy to fix, it's just a case of identifying the conflict or issue. Can you grab us a DxDiag so that we can take a look at your system: https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Have you tried uninstalling Origin and then launching the game from Steam so that it will install Origin to see if it helps?
