Unable to create new account

Hi.

I am unable to create a new account.

Have been; trying for the past week and keep receiving the error that you have technical difficulties.

I tried on both EA and Origin clients, also on your website from different devices.

    Hey @Bludsteam can you try on a different network and system to see if you have the same issue?

    I'm not seeing other reports of this and when testing with a VPN was unable to recreate it.

  • Hi

    Your account policy allows Teens between the age of 13 to 17 to have their own accounts.

    However, I also changed the year to 2008 to allow me the option to setup as a child account and received the same error.

    I also tested using one of my other accounts and received the same error as shown in the attachment.

    Hey @Bludsteam I tested it there and was able to create an account with no issues.

    Could be an issue with the email perhaps.

    The email is fine as she has an X-box Game Pass account which is also one of the methods I tried to create her EA account.

    Same error as before when trying to create.

    Could you perhaps try to create the account from your side ?

    Hey @Bludsteam we would not be able to create an account on your behalf.

    The reason I mentioned the email is because it could already be linked to an EA account.

    Just so you are aware, underage to teen account transition depends on your region. In some places you have an underage account till 18.

    As a test, also believed email could be linked, I just used my wife's email account, who never plays any games or linked to any platform and was born in 1985.

    Tested on Origin and EA client. Tested on EA website.

    Tested from my Desktop, notebook and cellphone.

    I still receive the same error.

    Are there any issues with regards to South Africa ?

    WOW! Jumped off my Fibre network and tested via my 3G and I was able to create my daughters account.

    I will escalate to my ISP.

    You can run into strange issues such as this from time to time where something on a network or ISP is blocking basic things.
