Bejewelled Twist

I downloaded this game both on Steam and EA, and was looking forward to playing it. But, after just one game, I clicked on Full Screen from the options, now it only displays a white box with nothing to click on to restore the game. I've even tried to repair the game using the EA app for windows. Now it doesn't work at all.  Sure it may only have been a few cents thanks to the sale, but that's not the point.

What can I do to restore the game to full working mode once again? I realize it's an older game, made in 2010 by PopCap Games. But I want to be able to play a game I just bought.
