Can't change screen resolution

I launch Spore first time and see only half screen. I have wide screen monitor with 1600x1050. So, i can't change game resolution because i cant see graphics menu (it is into right part of screen and invisible).
Then i try to change monitor resolution to 800x600. But it was unsuccess to. The menu is absent.

    From the readme:

    Command Line Options
    --------------------

    -r:<width>x<height> 

    Run at the given resolution.

    Add the following commands line parameter to end of the "Target" field in the "Shortcut" properties that are used to launch the game to start the corresponding editor.

    You should be able to set the resolution that way
