i picked it up just now because i'm jonesing for a mobile spore (and the 'creature creator' app had a "weird" relationship with the colour brown), and it's not just an app in the same vein as creature creation. it's straight up a rip.
it probably doesn't use the exact assets but they're heavily copied from spore's style down to the sound design.
if anything this should prove that people are demanding a mobile spore experience, so hopefully coming out with maxis' own should quash the copycats and encourage them to develop their own styles.
so after playing some of it, it goes from a pretty accurate cell stage to a fakeout for a water stage before skipping directly into some idle game nonsense
