Spore thinks I don't own C&C and Galactic Adventures.

I purchased Spore and the two expansion packs through Steam. I activated the keys on Origin and everything. However, it appears as though the Spore website doesn't think I actually own these expansion packs.

It refuses to upload any creation I attempt to share that possesses parts that are exclusive to the Creepy & Cute and Galactice Adventures DLCs. I can only upload creations made with Core Spore & Exoskeleton Limbs parts.

While creations possessing DLC-exclusive parts technically show up as "shared" in my Sporepedia (with the green icon), they do not appear on the official Sporepedia, and therefore, other players cannot see my creations or play my adventures. In the case of creatures, the comment section and the 'games used' tab are also missing when "shared". For Adventures, they also show the green icon, but the 'times played' and player rating GUI is missing.

I have already contacted EA Support twice for assistance. But they have only been able to direct me here. I've tried everything to troubleshoot the problem. I've cleared the graphics cache, run as administrated, uninstalled and reinstalled (in different orders), attempted to repair the game files, changed the compatibility mode to various different versions of Windows, validated files on steam, etc. etc.

I have to assume this is an error in the code or DRM associated with the game, and not actually something on my end. Because nothing I do can change it.

I haven't seem much information about this issue, but from what I have seen, it's quite discouraging. This glitch is a game-wrecker. Sharing your creations with the playerbase is over half the entire reason to even play this game, and the reason I purchased it in the first place. I'm kind of irritated that there's simply nothing that can be done, all because this game is "unsupported".

If it's supposedly "unsupported" then why are they still charging money for this game? And why do I have to buy another copy just to get the chance of having 100% of the features it's supposed to ship with. It's appalling, and very frustrating.

  • I'm also going through the same problem. Bought the game and expansions through a different website and activated the keys. Everything went fine but now installing Origin and Spore on my gf's laptop so she could play, only the base game shows up but not the expansions.

  • I've trawled through as much of this place as I can seem to manage with the search, and this is the only thread that seems to have the same issue I've been having - I started playing again recently after not having the game installed for ages, and realized that almost none of the creations the game said were uploaded actually made it to the Sporepedia. I've tried just about everything people have suggested for similar problems, but none of it actually did anything beyond giving me a second install of the game through the Origin launcher that still gives me the same problems - and there being no solution in this thread isn't very encouraging, honestly. Maybe by throwing my own comments here there'll be a chance at someone noticing and helping us out? Here's hoping.

  • Same here, but only with Galactic Adventures. I bought Spore and the DLC on steam, activated the codes on Origin, got an error on Creepy & Cute but the website still shows that I own it. Galactic Adventures successfully installed, but the website doesn't show that I own it.. I have an adventure series I'm going to make, and nobody being able to see it is gonna make me kind of sad. At least Creepy & Cute actually shows..

They need to fix this, or at least offer some help. In the meantime, I guess we're stuck either with only one DLC registered or with none registered.
