dirt rally 2.0 audio is distorted at the start of events

My problem is that whenever I start an event my audio becomes distorted until the race starts, I have also had distorted audio occasionally in the middle of the race but I only remember that happening once in an hour of playing the game so far, but when I start a race it happens almost every single time and it's both annoying and a pain to my ears.

I am using an AMD 5600g and msi rx 5600 xt as my cpu and graphics card if that info helps.
