SUCCESS!!! I am back in the game! It took me like 7 EA Help reps before someone finally would restore my older cloud save, the rest were totally clueless. When they finally restored my cloud save, the Cloud Save suddenly said “Last updated 12 hours ago” when it had previously said 3 days, so I knew they finally did something.
steps:
1. Erase app and reinstall. Do NOT restore cloud save.
2. Open settings, then the little (i) button in game and tap Support button. This opens the EA Help in game which they said is a different team than the EA Help you get on the website! They take about 12h to reply each time. You will get slick RR3 Notifications on that device when they reply.
3. Continue to plead for them to restore your cloud save to an older version until you get a rep that does so. They will waste a LOT of your time with BS like restarting your device and clearing free space etc., things that have nothing to do with this BUG in the game. Just be polite and explain you’ve tried those steps and what you really need is for them to restore your older cloud save! Don’t give up, eventually you’ll get someone like “Mohd” who did it for me!
Unfortunately, “Mohd” refused to answer when I asked him what was the fix, he was very vague and only stated that “some changes were made in the game”. I assume he means he restored my cloud save. I did lose a days progress but that’s nothing compared to losing my 10 years+ old account!
