why no mouse play in EA golf we need it

I don't mind using the sticks to swing in this game, but 3 click has always been my bread and butter. Not sure what the point of adding it was if you can not use it in H2H or tournaments. There should at least be a 3 click tournament if you want to separate the swing types

After four update packages without any update for 3-click players I'm wondering why EA has put out a 3-click mode? 3-clickers can't play in tournaments nor do they have seperate tournaments. Maybe a dev can tell us what EA has in store for the 3-clickers in the future? After all 3-click was announced as a playing method before PGA Tour came out. Another problem for me as a 3-clicker with a maxed out character of LVL 50 is that it's very difficult to earn reward points to buy specs or equipments in the store. Whereas with every quick play round i earn more than 18.000 xp no matter how I play but for me it's totally useless.Could EA please tell me why I should go on playing the game?

It seems that there is a consensus that somehow 3-click is easier than L stick controls to play this game. This is a myth, There is no conclusive evidence or hard data to support this myth. As a result EA in their wisdom have taken a policy decision not to allow 3-click mode players access to daily, weekly or seasonal tournaments unless they are prepared to change their favoured style of play from 3-click to stick controls. This seems very unfair, since not only does it disadvantages part of the EA golf community from participating in a large percentage of the game play, but it also prevents them having experiences, rewards and opportunities that come with the daily, weekly and seasonal tournaments. Why not make a change in policy so some daily and weekly events are accessible to players who prefer the 3-click mode of play? thank you.

@MadTiger64I agree with you that the swing path is not sensitive enough. And dare I say... I would like a tempo parameter in the swing.I think I should start a new thread. So I'm not being accused of hijacking this one.But additional difficulty for sure, and I am not a fan of how they implemented draw and fades on the swing meter. I rather it not have to swing on an angle... but if they insist on this it should swing through the center of the axis of the controller.

agree 100 percent we clickers are surely getting short changedEA you need to give this a review and give us some more clicker tourneys.

Sure they'll add them, I do agree that they shouldn't put them together in tournaments/ranked because they're two entirely different mechanics.

After the last patch that added 3-click, you can play online with it, but only arcade diifficulty. Since the last patch you can only play 3-click with the keyboard, the keyboard analog swing is gone. So PC players without gamepad or players who want to use 3-click are effectively locked out from most online play, super disappointing! ☹️

I understand that they don't want to mix 3-click and analog swing in tournaments, but they could just give us separate 3-click online tournaments.

Should be competitive for arcade, pro, sim, and 3 click really...only option as of now is only tour difficulty

@benjimufc1 Tour difficulty has nothing to do with swing type. For example there is arcade 3 click where the meter is slower, the white areas are larger, and you can do spin in the air. On tour 3 click the meter is faster and your have less room for error and can not do extra spin. I think for each difficulty they should have a 3 click, swing stick, then an open where you can use whatever. The swing stick mechanic is pretty easy so i would bet scores wouldn't be much different with 3 click. The biggest difference for me is fade/ draw. I can't hit it consistently with the stick. I usually get the ball to go the right way, but its easy to overcook or under cook the amount of curve. With 3 click the perfect area just moves to a different part of the circle and it is no different than a standard shot.

I only play 3 click now, I did the arcade daily tournament with 3 click no problem, then I went into the other daily tournament (cost me 3 000 points) to find out that it was only stick swing?, couldn't see any warning about only being swing stick can I have my points back please EA.

YES we do need mouse play to do the 3 click. Most people are right handed and using the A key just not work for me. At least make it that you could change it to another key like the L key

@stopit01977 you'll need to contact EA Help to ask about getting any reward points refund.

I just had a quick look and couldn't see a way for you to know in advance either. I'll do what I can to highlight this as if I'm not missing something yours may become a common complaint.
