This isn't a bug but rather a reflection of the beginner player with few 'skills' and 'specs'. This may help:

I am level 36 now and have maxed out my short game skills. How high a level do I have to be for this to stop?

Your first post referred to a 4 iron? Short game skills will do nothing for this. Did you watch the video I linked to?
