Patch 3.0 Discussion

As a single player I am absolutely satisfied with the game. Even if I was a bit disappointed at first. Meanwhile, 2k is no longer an option for me.
Imagine being so naive to think that a change such as adding whole new gameplay features can be developed, tested, de-bugged, retested, signed off, scheduled for release then released across multiple platforms in a month.
The commentary from serial whiners on this forum is just laughable at this point. The apparent expertise being banded around on the subject is embarrassing, and points to nothing more than people being utterly clueless.
I work in system support and im heavily involved in E2E and User acceptance testing for system changes, this is hilarious to read.
EA really sucks!! where is the metric system!?!? are you idiots or what!??! this is a patch!??! ahahahaha

I’ll be selling my copy asap before the trade in value drops even further.
LOL, enjoy your 30 bucks and not playing the game. With inflation being what it has been since January 2021, you might be able to buy lunch for that.
I like the low camera angle for putting.
While it is nice to see EA adress stuff that should have been in the game at release, it saddens me to see that this patch basically only adds some bugfixes and a map that was taken out of release to implement it down the road.
"We hear you" they say. Then how about you act on it?
Community wants more social features, like playing with premade characters and growing their xp when playing local coop together. It wants turn based online play. Community driven tournaments and stuff.
EA: We hear you. How about you play singleplayer. We just cut the online menus a little so the small community gets funneled. That should be social enough, right? Don't you guys play single player games?"Highly disappointed. Hoped for a golf comeback at EA. But seeing that they sell it 40% off after a month just tells me that the game will not receive any meaningful care and will not be a social experience.
Will not spend a single cent in the cash shop and regret giving EA another chance. There was a reason I stayed away from their products and their platform for quite a while now.
At least we can now get additional clothes when we sub to EA play. Fantastic, just what we wanted /s- @theycagednon Imagine releasing a game half finished and untested…

My friend has the game and I am thinking of buying it. I only have a 2070 video card and assume I need a faster card to run it smoothly at the native resolution of my monitor which is 2560 X 1440. He has a 4070 video card and is running the game in 4K.
He said Update 3.0 has improved the putting as it is now more difficult. However he says it is still way to easy to hit the fairways so hopefully your next fix is to make the rest of the game more difficult. At the highest difficulty level breaking par should be a challenge. I am impressed at how quickly your development team is responding to player feedback and look forward to future improvements and fixes.
@theycagednonWhole new game play? They already have the game play but limited to local!
Well... pick up any club and head out to any bit of grassland, take 10 balls with you, and tell me you could hit all ten ball withing a few inches of each-other ?
