No idea what you're on about.

putt is lined up, hit the ball, ball goes towards hole, right before going in the ball takes a massive turn the OTHER direction... like a hockey goalie "kick save and a beauty"
its a VERY common thing, happens at least twice per 9 holes, minimum
I lose strokes so many times due to EA's incompetence on putting
I have played 20 hours I just not seen this happening yet.had a couple come off putter face too Sharp tho.i had plenty that rolled around the hole and gone in as not gone in.its not a common thing at all.yes it must be happening as people are reporting it but come on !!if it was that bad I couldn't play this game.had the ball move to a different area a few times tho after landing now that I have seen.
- Mark_Miwurdz2 years agoSeasoned Ace@ragingsaint Had it a fair few times, although not as often as you suggest. I usually make a video when it happens. Post a video of it next time you get it.

I think the putting in the game is fine. When I miss short putts and sometimes the ball doesn't even touch the hole it is because I did not firmly push the stick forward in a straight line. As for realism putting looks right in terms of makes having played the real game for over 30 years. Any putt with a significant break is difficult even when it is a short one.
I saw this about the percent of putts made by PGA pros. When you watch a PGA telecast they are showing the leaders who obviously are putting well that tournament/round to be at the top of the leaderboard so it gives you a skewed impression of made putts.
On average PGA Tour pros make 99% of 2-foot putts, 96% of 3-foot putts, 88% of 4-foot putts and 77% of 5-foot putts according to strokes gained pioneer, Mark Broadie. From 10 feet their one putt percentage is 40%, 23% from 15 feet, 15% from 20 feet, 7% from 30 feet, 4% from 40 feet, 3% from 50 feet and 2% from 60 feet.
If EA ever gets around to displaying stats for a round I would like to see the number of feet of putts made.
Just finished another round of Lip Out Golf. Every put, whether made or missed, seems to lip out or ring the hole 🕳️. We found an animation we like, and we’re sticking to it.
The putting in this game is like putting on a shag carpet, it is far too slow.
On top of that balls break right off the putter face, in real life the ball will skid before gaining traction and rolling. But to be fair I have never seen a video game do it right.
In my opinion the putting in this game is not unplayable but it is a bit of a mess.

On most courses, it's not happening much to me. But when it's courses for the Majors, very slick greens... yeah very frustrating.

Here is my top 5 list of courses where I see lipout-fests and Andrei Vasilevskiy at the Net.
1) Wolf Creek
2) Torrey Pines
3) Chamber’s Bay
4) Oak Hills
5) LACC

And the worst, you're probably totally right. They're all animations, probably not much to do with how the ball is hitting the hole.
Just had another ball slowly going right thru the middle of the hole and stopping about a foot later on 18th at Bandon Dunes.
