Re: Feedback - Using 2 created golfers when playing with someone else

I can't understand why it isn't possible to implement a local offline multiplayer with your own golfer on a console when everything is already there for it. In the announcements you could read that this is possible.

Now you can see that it just doesn't work. Unfortunately, I've now spent the money and the game is basically useless to me.

I can create multiple golfers under my PSN account and switch between them. That is possible. I can select a game type and add another golfer in a quick game. This works out. But then I can't add another controller or add more from the list of created golfers. That is not possible. That is completely incomprehensible.

I played ea golf with my wife on the Playtation 2 for hundreds of hours in local multiplayer, you could even invite a guest with a profile in career mode. We used it extensively and loved it. Now with the Playstation 5 there are countless complex online modes, but a simple couch multiplayer with two controllers is not possible.

I was looking forward to a great time with the fantastic graphics for two. It's just wasted money now. Very frustrating.

It's definitely possible. I think they just overlooked it because EA still seems to think that nobody plays off-line anymore, which is quite obviously not the case.

They aren't wrong, less people are bothering with offline since online is a thing hence why stuff like split screen and LAN are becoming less popular but for golf the local experience is still popular and needed. It's been in every game since the start of the series.

Yes please include this feature for local couch coop 

Completely agree. Me and my partner are absolutely bummed out right now. She saw me playing as we were watching The Masters tournament side by side and we've played 2k21 for countless hours on couch co-op but it isn't implemented in this game? 

EA always drops the ball like crazy. It's one of the simplest and most desirable features and they didn't think of it...terrible. 

Man, I totally agree. My friend bought this game for me as a birthday gift so that we could couch play together, since he doesn't have the newest Xbox. 

I am just baffled that this isn't possible and I would hope that this is fixed with an update very soon. 

I have just spent £50 on this game to play my mum, it’s something me and my parents used to do years ago on the older games.  

I can’t believe you cannot play custom characters offline multiplayer.  It’s the main reason I bought this game.

Also it game starts off with telling you how great it’s accessibility options it has before you’ve even played a round but my mum is arthritis in her hands so would prefer it on easier or to play 3 click but you can’t have one controller set to custom settings which you could in Rory Mcilroy when I’d prefer the swing stick.

Using 2 different controllers has a problem too where the game freezes and you can’t move your golfer or do anything unless you pause the game.

It’s an absolute disgrace the game was released in this state and also the fact I seen several reviews and can’t remember them mentioning it.  Generally it was all positive and saying a step forward.  I can’t get a refund from Sony as I downloaded the game.

I think the game looks quite good, the presentation is quite nice but I think the swing animation lags going to swing stance and is quite off-putting.  Also it’s quite confusing sometimes the camera angle button changes depending on what your doing.

Playing the game on PlayStation 5 with latest patch.

Let me just say i never play online with other "live" people just Quick play or career. Would be nice to play two player with a friend in my house.

Exactly,  so many of us expecting this functionality to be in place, so very poor to not remove this for the fans, on a side note I have played online with my mate. May I just add its really such a very poor experience, nothing like couch co-op truly gutted. But I have faith that EA will resolve. If everyone just take 2 min a day out to post eventually someone will listen and they will fix. Let's not give up on this

still nothing about this in today's update, very sad when this feature is requested by many players

Do you know what really upset me on Saturday just gone? At my mates playing Liverpool. Then out of nowhere I get a par 4 hole in 1. I was over the moon and my 2 maters speechless as all they could do after that was par it. Then I was like great can't even share it coz it's not my player so not the same. 😭😢
